Clematis 'Purple Haze'Clematis 'Purple Haze' has masses of soft violet purple flowers with a cream blaze on the inside of the tepals and are carried on long stems June to October, each flower is backed by purple bronze leafy bracts and the young growth is a similar colour. Can be grown in any aspect and hard pruned in spring. Raised by Charlie Pridham in 1992 and named and introduced in 1997, it is basically a very good form of C. viticella and forms part of the national collection |
